New web accessibility widget

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Your website is now more inclusive.

We added a new widget to your website to make it accessible to the motor, visual and audio impaired, or any visitors with other disabilities. This will make for a better user experience for all visitors, on all devices.

By having a web accessibility widget, you will not only be compliant with several regulations such as the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) but it also allows you to increase your website audience as you are making it easier for people with disabilities to navigate it.

The widget, by UserWay, will show on the corner of all pages of your website and includes several options such as “Read Page”, “Big Cursor” and “Bigger Text”.

What is ADA compliance?

The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. It guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in public accommodations, employment, transportation, state and local government services, and telecommunications.
