In the heart of Paris, at 15 Place Vendôme, the Ritz Paris has more than 118 years of innovation, luxury and elegance.
With a rich history since its opening in 1898, the Ritz Paris has been the home of Coco Chanel, and the stage for major historical moments. After being closed for a 4 year renovation by acclaimed architect Thierry W. Despont, the hotel is now back in business, maintaining its full Belle Époque glory.
“Falling in love only takes a second. It happened to me the first moment I saw the Ritz, the most beautiful hotel in the most beautiful square of the most beautiful city on earth.”
Mohamed Al Fayed
Considered to be “the most romantic hotel in the world” by Sophia Lauren, the Ritz Paris was, at the time of opening, the most innovative hotel in Paris: it was the first to have lifts, electricity and private bathrooms.
The Ritz’s legendary splendour can be found in every impressive detail of its 71 rooms and 15 historic prestige suites named after illustrious former guests and residents such as Marcel Proust, Coco Chanel and F. Scott Fitzgerald, being the Imperial Suite registered as a national monument.
The exquisite ambience of the hotel can also be found at it’s 2 Michelin Starred restaurant, the Chanel spa, the École Ritz Escoffier, the magnificent gardens and terraces and the historic Salon Proust, where tea à la française is served.
