The Challenge

The old Gran Hotel Hotel Sonnet website was starting to look outdated and didn’t reflect the hotel’s real look and feel. Difficult navigation, too much content and poor use of photos were some of the main issues that concerned the Hotel.

On the booking side of the website, the process also needed simplification and effectiveness as the hotel was heavily dependent on intermediaries. All of this was especially troublesome for the hotel as it wanted to be perceived by its guests as one of the most luxurious hotels in Spain. Better SEO performance for organic searches, a good mobile indexation and the capability of building content on their own was also something that the hotel hotel was looking for.

Process

In order to understand their needs, the Design team started the process as they always do, asking the simple questions: What is your story? How would you describe your hotel? How do you want it to be perceived online? Who’s your audience? What is your dream for your online strategy?

This are for GuestCentric team the fundamental questions to learn the client’s ambitions so that we can built on top of those. The work started with the brand redesign that was one of the fundamental keys for the project success.

On top of that, the website was built taking full advantage of the stunning photos of the property. The navigation optimized to the make the booking process easy, no matter the device used. Taking advantage of the GuestCentric’s platform, the hotel was able to develop content on their own, without the need of external help.

The Results

After a few months, results already spoke for themselves in several ways: Multi-award winning websites with several gold awards, highlighting the responsive website with an approachable design and a full site optimization in images and content.
