It’s all done now: 2017 is behind us! Welcome to 2018!
2017 was an incredible year at GuestCentric. With the help of all our clients and partners, we just couldn’t sit still! Sit back and relax as we go down memory lane…
GuestCentric’s platform is stronger than ever, as we continued to innovate on the industry-leading tools we provide thousands of hotels all around the world. We pushed our platform forward with a staggering 150+ improvements and new features, such as version 2 of Hotel Messenger, a complete overhaul of the mobile booking engine and new responsive email templates to better serve mobile guests. With 6 new languages (Romanian, Slovakian, Bulgarian, Korean, Japanese, Danish, for a total of 21 languages available for website translation) and a brand new currency converter, you can reach a truly global audience with the improved Shopping Activation widget, newly added video banners and new promotion teasers that drive direct bookings on your website even further.
Meanwhile, we reduced hoteliers workload with features such as range updates, add-on restrictions and smart automated deactivation of expired promotions and special offers. We made it easier for you to compare individual channels’ performance on the renewed Revenue Dashboard and added Excel spreadsheet exporting of revenue data for you to easily check out your business growth, as you get a glimpse of your online reputation, now on Instagram too. And we did all this with the increased security of strict PCI DSS compliance.
We continued to work on our Great Hotels of the World brand and its GDS chain code, further expanding our product’s reach. We partnered with Duetto to offer independent hotels the same sophisticated personalization tools previously only available to big chain – and bigger budget – hotels.
While we were hard at work on the development front, we told you all about driving direct bookings through user behavior and taking advantage of user indecision, tools to improve your direct booking conversion rates and how the Hotel Messenger improves your hotel business performance. In Europe, we joined trivago, SiteMinder, The Hotels Network and Protel and drove around to show hoteliers the digital future of their hotels. We got together with Hotelogix for a webinar on Increasing Yield through the Power of Direct Bookings. We also partnered with Turismo de Portugal and did 10 workshops on “How to improve my hotel’s business: the advantages of digital marketing”. (More workshops are happening in 2018! Register now!)
All this hard work has been recognized internationally. Our integrated booking engine + website combo has amassed 26 awards in 2017 alone, totaling more than 180 awards to date!
