Software Advice listed GuestCentric mobile booking engine among the TOP 5 interfaces available in market

Mobile devices are definitely part of everyday life, as people are inseparable of their phones and tablets and use their gadgets to nearly everything: communication, leisure, shopping, paying bills or even ordering food. Travelers are no different: they rely on their gadgets and use the Internet as a center of research and planning trips.

According to PhoCusWright’s research U.S. Mobile Travel Report, by the end of 2014, the travel industry will see $25.8 billion from mobile booking market, which represents 8% of the total travel market and 18% of the online travel market. With the growing importance of mobile in travel industry, hotels must offer potential guests an easy-to-use and attractive interface, which makes the shopping process a unique experience.

A report released by Software Advice, a company that reviews hotel reservation software, listed GuestCentric mobile optimized booking engine as one of the best available in market. The selection was focused mainly on UI creativity and intuitiveness. “When choosing the best interfaces, I put myself in the shoes of a first-time user and look for systems that offer a eye-pleasing and, more importantly, easy-to-decipher interface. I choose those that seem to mitigate any steep learning curve with simple, functional layout,” said Taylor Short, Software Advice’s Managing Editor.

“GuestCentric’s booking engine stood out because of its responsive design on mobile, with a grid calendar view of available days and rates, making it simple for users to evaluate every option,” explained Short. The report also emphasized that while most mobile app spreads the booking process across several pages, GuestCentric’s interface centralize the booking process in only one page, creating a comprehensive experience for guests.

“GuestCentric’s easy-to-use and attractive mobile interface not only gives travellers a convenient system to plan their trips and improves their shopping experience; it allows hoteliers to convert mobile traffic in guests, increase their conversion rates and maximize their revenues,” pointed out Pedro Colaco, CEO of GuestCentric.

With the increase of same-day hotel bookings on mobile, the biggest thing travellers will need from mobile booking is speed and convenience. “Designing an engine that is device-responsive and simple to navigate can fulfill those needs for users,” stressed Short.
